"This is a fantastic event that does so much for our community," said Ebli, a cancer survivor who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004. "Most of our residents' lives have been touched by cancer in one way or another. This event is a great way to support our community and help local cancer patients."
The event will take place on Friday, June 26, at 6 p.m. at the MonroeCenter for Healthy Aging, 15275 South Dixie Highway in Monroe.
At the event, Ebli and other "celebrity servers" will be waiting tables and serving Italian food to guests in an effort to help raise money for cancer patients in Monroe County. The event is sponsored by the Monroe Center Cancer Connection and the Italian-American Club.
